Welcome to BuildMyAuthor. This website and its associated consulting, digital marketing, and professional branding services are operated by Bittu Kumar, a sole proprietor doing business under the registered trade name BuildMyAuthor, located in Ranchi Jharkhand, India.

Throughout client communications, platform management, and strategic deliveries, the enterprise may utilize the professional founder moniker Jay. However, all legal, financial, and contractual obligations remain bound to Bittu Kumar trading as BuildMyAuthor.

By accessing our website, purchasing our service blueprints, onboarding via our creative frameworks, or executing a Statement of Work, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them with care.

1. Nature of Services & Delivery Model

BuildMyAuthor operates as a digital-first author growth advisory firm. We deploy specialized consulting assets, campaign frameworks, and positioning audits through a dedicated team of niche industry experts, publishing strategists, and creative specialists to deliver end-to-end marketing solutions for indie, hybrid, and traditionally published authors.

2. Limitation of Liability & No Commercial Guarantees

All marketing plans, promotional trajectories, metadata audits, and media setups delivered by BuildMyAuthor are strategic recommendations based on prevailing industry data.

Author growth, book visibility, retail algorithm positioning, and copy conversion depend heavily on external market forces, reader preferences, and third-party platform policies. BuildMyAuthor explicitly states, and the client acknowledges, that we do not guarantee specific book sales volume, bestseller status, royalty generation, or specific media placement metrics.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian laws, the total aggregate liability of Bittu Kumar as the proprietor of BuildMyAuthor for any claim, loss, damage, or legal action arising out of the performance or non-performance of our services shall be strictly capped at the total fee amount actually paid by the client for that specific service segment or Statement of Work.

3. Strict Refund & Cancellation Policy

As a dedicated professional services agency booking creative resources and strategy blocks in advance, our cancellation structure is non-negotiable and strictly bounded:

Clients may request a service cancellation and a partial refund only within 48 hours of executing their initial payment transaction. Cancellation requests must be sent formally via email to info@buildmyauthor.com containing the original invoice sequence code.

Third-party financial processing charges, payment gateway fees, and associated administrative settlement levies are 100% non-refundable in all cases and will be deducted from any processed refund amount, regardless of the timing of the request.

If BuildMyAuthor has already initiated operational steps—including but not limited to resource allocation, freelancer onboarding, manuscript reading blocks, design brief processing, or scheduling consulting hours—within that 48-hour window, the refund amount will be adjusted downward on a prorated basis to match the cost of actual manual labor and hours logged.

Once the 48-hour window closes from the timestamp of payment, no refunds, chargebacks, or transaction reversals will be issued under any circumstances. All balances paid stand fully earned by the firm.

4. Intellectual Property & Copyright Transfer

The client retains 100% exclusive copyright over their underlying text, outlines, plots, characters, and personal brand assets submitted to BuildMyAuthor.

Upon the absolute clearance of all final invoice balances due to BuildMyAuthor, all custom creative components specifically commissioned for the client—such as graphic layouts, book covers, and ad copy texts—stand fully assigned to the author. BuildMyAuthor warrants that it maintains ironclad assignment covenants with all sub-contracted freelancers to ensure clean, untainted chain-of-title rights pass to the client.

5. Governing Law and Dispute Jurisdiction

These terms are governed strictly by the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal dispute, claim, interpretation challenge, or proceeding arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive statutory jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India.
